September 2026 Volunteer Opportunities in St. Johns, Florida: Make a Difference for Children in Our Community

Looking for a meaningful way to give back in St. Johns, Florida? Whether you need volunteer hours, want to serve alongside your family, or simply have a heart for helping others, there's an opportunity to make a real difference right here in our community.

At Bridge City Church, we believe serving others is one of the greatest ways we can share the love of Jesus. That's why we're excited to partner with Hunger Fight for a special community outreach event that will directly impact children in St. Johns County.

Fight Hunger with Bridge City

On Sunday, September 20, 2026, Bridge City Church partnered with Hunger Fight to pack more than 14,000 nutritious meals for children right here in St. Johns County.

In addition to packing meals, we'll also help provide 500 books to support Hunger Fight's Early Childhood Literacy Program, helping children receive both nutritious food and the opportunity to build strong reading skills.

Together, we can make a lasting difference—one meal and one child at a time.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering is about more than giving your time. It's about making an impact.

When you volunteer, you help:

  • Feed children experiencing food insecurity
  • Support early childhood literacy
  • Strengthen families in our community
  • Build friendships while serving alongside others
  • Be part of something bigger than yourself

Every meal packed represents hope for a child who may not know where their next meal will come from.

Volunteer Opportunities for Families, Students, and Individuals

Everyone is welcome!

Whether you're coming by yourself, with friends, as a family, or with a small group, we'd love for you to join us.

This event is also a great opportunity for students who need volunteer service hours while making a meaningful impact in their community.

No special skills are required—just a willingness to serve.

Why Community Outreach Matters

At Bridge City Church, our mission is to make disciples of Jesus by building relationships, bridging needs, and growing faith.

Serving our neighbors is one of the ways we live out that mission. We believe God calls us to love our community through practical acts of kindness that meet real needs.

Whether we're packing meals, supporting literacy, or encouraging families, every act of service reflects the hope and compassion of Jesus Christ.

Help Feed Children in St. Johns County

Even if you're unable to volunteer, you can still make a difference.

You can support this outreach by making a financial gift to our School Feeding Program. One hundred percent of every donation goes directly toward helping children in St. Johns County.

Together, we can ensure more children have access to nutritious meals and educational resources that help them thrive.
